He just doesn't get it. It's embarrassing. Slagging off proper fans whilst not having a clue what's happening on the ground because he lives so far away.

'Family at the Burnley game'. How convenient. And they didn't like it either? Were they a bit frightened because things got a bit real? Diddums. Our proper supporters can and will be mobilised once we can, and all these other 'fans' who he thinks will just take their place are the diluted 'customers' that really will finish off what this club is all about.

All his answers are pure whataboutery.

Because you can't be here and get the actual facts or do the key thing to be really knowledgable about the situation and attend.
You can only get secondhand info from others and this is where my opinion would stop on certain subjects as it should be assumed they have a valid gripe.

It's not a dig as like you say the hardcore will always be in the minority, but those very same people are the ones who have West Ham very high up in their thoughts and experience what is being/been undone by the owners.

I like their version of West Ham as the priority is the football. I have good friends who are very much on the 'they are doing their best' who on the result of this season have hinted they will turn against them if this squad isn't improved on.

So the worm is already turning I think.

Tmike some in here said they’d be happy with the glaziers. Personally I wouldn’t.

Sideofham try not to depend on conspiracy theories and insults for your arguments. You are the minority. You want to win your war, start listening to the other viewpoint and working out a way to argue with it other than just insulting people. Get 30,000 on the march and GSB will start listening. Calling the 29,000 who weren’t there C#### gets you nowhere.

ParadiseLost 8:26 Wed May 26
Re: Jack Sullivan steps down
Sideofham why do you think I have chosen to have West Ham as a minor importance?

West Hams roots are in the East End and many supporters come from those roots. They have seen the areas they and their families grew up in change around them. Much of what they held dear has gone. West Ham in some ways is all that remains of those traditions. I get that and have enormous sympathy for that. If the Olympics had never been held in Stratford then the issue of the move might never have happened.
There will always be a very hard core of supporters (and much credit to them) but they are not in the majority. The board knows thar and so to have any impact you need to convert more of other 60,000 to your way of thinking. People aren’t going to start boycotting games because of a premium rate telephone number. Get someone to do some legwork and find out what happened to the Upton Park money - expose that and you might have more marchers.

their turnover in 2017/18 was £581m. why the fuck are you even comparing us with man utd? I noticed you wouldn't answer the trophy question, twenty (20) trophies they've won under the glaziers. yet all you seem worried about is a couple of fans running on the pitch because it upset your season ticket holding relations? I was more upset by the lowlife cunts who steamed in to their own fans as they left the pitch

Re: Jack Sullivan steps down
Doesn't ring true that PL as these 'protests' are done either by a peaceful march or a banner away from the ground. So these ST holders you are talking to obviously just want to watch a game and go home. Most those against the board are against their lack of backing of the team financially but the owners have plenty of backing to the corporate side of their brand. We are talking about supporters who have done home & away for decades, and have thus made West Ham quite a key part of their lives.

Your view when you've obviously chosen to have West Ham as a minor importance (fair enough) is now through second hand info a far off the mark on how things are happening here.

Manchester United's leading fan group has called on the club's American owners to open a share scheme to allow supporters to buy out the Glazer family's shares in the club.

At least its a plan.

Re: Jack Sullivan steps down
£526million – United remain in debt to the tune of over half a billion pounds, 16 years after the takeover. In the Premier League, only Tottenham have larger debts but at least they have a new stadium to show for it. At Old Trafford, the roof is leaking. Before the Glazers, United had no debts.

have the Glaziers sold Old Trafford, and how many trophies have been won under their ownership?

Re: Jack Sullivan steps down
Chill if you think a premium rate telephone number is the most terrible thing owners do to football clubs you ought to read around a bit.

As for the Glaziers and those willing to embrace them Manchester United struggle with the amount of debt that’s been loaded onto them and thats with their world wide supporter base. People complain (rightly) about the interest the club pays to Gold and Sullivan. Ever worked out how much the Glaziers get?

And Sideofham yes I am posting from abroad because thats where I live now. Does that make my opinion less that those who attend every game? Yes, but I’m still entitled to an opinion.

Also I’ve family and their friends who are season ticket holders. When I’ve discussed the protests with them notably they have not shown any interest in joining in. The Burnley protests alienated a lot of fans as well, and the more extreme you try to make the protests the less support you will have.

So keep up the protests and the games will still be sold out. Make the protests bad enough so we get points deducted and see how many clap you.

Interesting, given that parasitic old cunt once forced fans to use a premium rate phone number which he had recently invested in.

Goose some fair points but stop giving them the money?

Want to bet that after this season they won’t sell every season ticket next year?

Perhaps if the protest group are so sure that the majority are behind them (or rather care that much) they should suggest a boycott of the first PL home game next season. Should help them that people are often away on their holidays but we both know it will be sold out.

Its been talked about for a while but its achieved nothing. For every hardcore fan who decides not to renew someone else steps in. And the same time as the protestors will be saying to stop giving them money they will be complaining about the transfer budget.

Super rich generally does mean clever, but not always in a good way. The clever ones are the ones who will come in and milk the assets of the club far more than GSB have ever managed. You want the Glaziers?

Re: Jack Sullivan steps down
Trunds - i'm asking how can protestors make a plan for new owners? They have no influence on who buys the club (if anyone).

PL - Gold might be in the minority but that doesnt excuse his lies about the stadium move.
How do you get rid of owners? realistically stop giving them your money is the first thing. second is embarrassing them publicly, be it with empty stadiums are exposing their lies in the media.

As for who buys the club lets take a positive stance shall we? Only the super rich can afford to buy the club - the likes of Carson Yeung wouldn't get anywhere near it.
Super rich doesnt always means super clever but i would say there's more clever multi billionaires than stupid ones.

Re: Jack Sullivan steps down
Goose, Gold is very much the minority owner and to be frank he is unlikely to be around much longer is he.
Are they among the worst owners? Lots of competition out there. You’ll note when people talk about good owners they usually quote the same two or three. I understand leaving Upton Park is a huge issue for many of the fans and the amount of money that we got for the land seemed very odd. Other than Leicester and perhaps Man City who else in the Premiership would you choose? That’s the problem people who buy football clubs these days generally don’t do it because they really care about the club. Its a business, or a way to launder your money or image.

But how do you get rid of owners when you are customers and not shareholders? I know that customer word grates but it is a reality of modern day football. You can shame them into leaving but then it is a crap shoot who you end up with instead. Look at Birmingham City.

One thing I do know. Unless the next owners are a consortium of Carlton Cole, Di Canio and Bill Gardner the complaints about the new owners will start before the ink is dry on the contract

Lee Trundle 6:00 Wed May 26
Re: Jack Sullivan steps down
"how can anyone plan for the next owners when nobody knows who they will be?"

Erm... by making a PLAN where you try and find suitable owners? Or you just force them out and just hope that they don't sell up to the next Carson Yeung.
